Clarinet Virtuoso Giora Feidman Performs in Ntdtv’s Holiday Wonders on Broadway

The great, world famous clarinetist Giora Feidman will perform in Holiday Wonders at the Beacon Theater on Broadway; three shows, Dec. 23 and 24.

A legendary musician for over half a century, Feidman captivates his audiences with soulful play of both classical and modern music. During a career spanning more than 50 years, Feidman has won many awards. He was the clarinet soloist for the theme music in “Schindler's List,” which won an Academy and a Grammy Award for best score. He was also twice given the "Classics without Boundaries" Award from the “Deutsche Phonoakademie” (German Sound Academy).

As one of the most important interpreters of contemporary music, over the decades Giora Feidman has evolved into a phenomenon. He is an artist, a discoverer and a sensation, a tireless ambassador with an act of undiminished appeal.

This holiday season, Feidman has chosen to be an ambassador for NTDTV’s wonderful cross-cultural, East-West Holiday Show. In order to perform at NTDTV's 2007 Global New Year Galas in Berlin and Paris, Feidman declined other engagements. Feidman called NTDTV’s Chinese New Year Spectacular, “an event that will elevate you, will elevate your sense of beauty, and it will help you to raise yourself.”

Audiences everywhere are moved by Feidman’s performances. After a recent concert in Switzerland, people commented:

"Very deep and profound, but at the same time, broad as well. [He has] a very close connection with the people."

"Very poignant, very joyful; it has the merry side, and the sorrowful side, too."

"He attempts to combine all the religions together; I like his performance technique and style very much."

What people experience during his performance is exactly what he wants to express. Feidman says, "It’s the music that will remind us that we are born as a member of one family to live together in unity, peace and tolerance."
